Missions of the laboratory

LPSC is a laboratory of the National Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics (IN2P3) at the CNRS and of the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA). Our laboratory is dedicated to research in particle physics, nuclear physics, astroparticle physics, cosmology and accelerator physics in the framework of international collaborations. We are also involved in large programs devoted to applications of nuclear physics and accelerator sciences in the fields of nuclear reactors, more specifically in the studies for Accelerator Driven Systems (ADS) and Generation-IV nuclear power reactors within European collaborations. Finally, we also have significant contributions to the field of instrumentation for health, as a contributor to national research and development efforts within national programs in proton-therapy.
